Cameron Reed is a marketing strategist, creative director, and musician, with a career that bridges the entertainment and advertising industries. Reed began his career in Vancouver as a Social Media Strategist at DDB Canada, working on award-winning advertising campaigns at the cutting edge of digital marketing.
After leaving DDB, Reed co-founded a creative agency focusing on social change. Its digital marketing campaigns were credited with helping elect a Vancouver mayor, banning asbestos in Canada, and increasing youth voter turnout in the 2011 federal election by 20%. Reed also produced a series of political comedy shorts that aired on CTV News and a transmedia web series that Showcase called "genre-defining".
After moving to Toronto in 2012, Reed became the Marketing Director at the record label Arts & Crafts, home to celebrated Canadian artists such as Broken Social Scene, Feist, and Gord Downie. His time at the helm resulted in over a dozen Gold and Platinum-certified albums, earning accolades from the JUNO Awards, Grammy Awards, American Association of Independent Music's Libera Awards, and the Polaris Music Prize. Reed is a two-time winner of Campaign of the Year Marketing Award from the Canadian Independent Music Association.
In addition to a celebrated career behind-the-scenes, Reed is also a musician, with commercial releases on acclaimed labels including Warp Records, Ghostly International, and others, demonstrating a rare blend of business acumen and artistic expression. His compositions have been featured everywhere from BBC documentaries to FENDI runway shows in Paris.
